I have purchased Acrobat 8 Professional and am trying to install it on my new MacOS CPU.  It let me download and I went through to get the updated serial number.  I have tried to original serial number from purchase and the new one your site generated and neither worked.  I have already talked to someone in support who sent me here.  Please help!

Hopefully you didn't recently purchase a license to Acrobat 8 Professional. If you did, see if you can get your money back. Acrobat 8 was released 11 years ago and it has been over 9 years since that version has been available from any Adobe authorized reseller.

Acrobat 8 is totally incompatible is any recent version of MacOS. Adobe Support should have told you that directly and not have sent you here!

No I didn't recently purchase it.  Just haven't had to switch computers until now and so all of that makes sense.  I still have a couple of questions though....

1.  Why is it in the downloads and instructions for installing 8 over the web, they give the Mac option?  I am pretty sure the software downloaded just fine,  it is just not letting me past the serial number portion. The instructions lead you to believe they are giving you a new serial number (which they do) so that it is compatible.  But yet that "new" serial number doesn't work...

2.  Regardless of the software purchase being old, Adobe 8 is just fine for my needs.  What can be done so that I can use it?

Thank you for your time!

They still offer the software for people reinstalling on old Macs. The new serial should work With the download only And on compatible systems.
