Acrobat 8 standard activation

As known the activation servers for old acrobat 8 versions were removed from internet. And there was a version available for download not needing any activation, but this is also gone.

I've had a 2h chat with the support team, with the outcome, that they can't help and I need to ask the forum. And yes, I've seen a lot of answers to those questions directing back to the support. I also infrmed the support about this but they (even the supervisor) still were not able to help me.

 

Does anybody know, what to do?

They were just trying to get you off their backs by directing you here. We are users, just like you, and can't do anything about this.

This was an intentional decision Adobe made and you need to complain to them about it. But the customer service reps. you're talking to can't do anything about it, either, by the way. It's way above their pay-grade.

I believe that companies will not stop with this kind of practice until someone forces them to, either the government or the courts.
