Question

Acrobat and Creative Cloud something's wrong it's so slow... please help

I'm very sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot.
Since I updated Acrobat a few months ago (the one that can convert pdf files), it's as if the app has taken over the computer. As soon as I open it, that's it - everything from then on takes, quite literally, 100 times as long. The spinning disc becomes a constant. I don't know if it's because of the creative cloud, if it's something I've done wrong,.. no idea. I simply want the ability to occasionally turn pdf files into Word files, but not at the present cost of having a computer that just doesn't work with Acrobat open.
Any help greatly appreciated as it is incredibly irritating. I am aware the problem is almost certainly something I have done wrong, but how can a program have the ability, even if in the hands of someone incompetenty like me, to cause so much hassle? The old one worked just fine; then I got told to update it

Hi Kevin

We are sorry for the trouble. As described you are experiencing issues with Acrobat

Do you have Adobe Adrobat Reader DC (Freeware) or Adobe Acrobat DC (Subscription) and waht is the version installed? To check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat?Reader DC
Make sure you have the latest version 20.009.20067 installed.  Go to Help > Check for Updates.

You may also try to repair installation (For Windows Only) Go to Help > Repair Installation.and see if that works for you.

if it still doesn't work please try o create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards

Amal
