Hi everyone,
I need to edit a PDF and want to open objects with Illustrator or InDesign. When I select "edit with" and select one of those tools it says I have to make sure that the correct path is given in my settings. Got the filepath to the Photoshop (Image editing) and Illustrator there. But it still says it can´t open these tools.
I also reintalled acrobat to see if that helps... It did not...
What do I miss here?
greetings,
Martin

Thank you for sharing the screenshot of the error message.
Looking at the description given above, it seems you have been trying to edit a pdf file that has the objects in it. Which you would like to open with Adobe Ai or Id.
What is the source of this file? Have you exported it from a 3rd party pdf maker tool?
Try saving this file to a new location, (not a shared drive or cloud storage) and then open it.
For a better understanding of the issue, kindly share the sample file with us.
Thanks,
Akanchha

Hi and thx for your reply,
this happens with EVERY PDF. I tried it with my own PDF (exported from InDesign). Even from that PDF file I can´t open an editing tool. The message is the same. Tried a couple Files now and always the same error. Even with PDFs that I was able to edit at work (same steps taken).
I wonder if there is a Problem with the CC being installed on C: but all tools (PS,Id, Ai etc) are installed on D:

@Martin29996255nq1l, your last piece of information has answered this all.
Thanks for letting us know that the apps are installed on D drive.
Adobe never recommends installing the applications on any other drive than C. As products and services will stop functioning well.
When you select "Edit with," where's that file located? Are you selecting this option n the Windows file explorer?
Please share a screen recording of your workflow to better understand what's going on exactly.
