Question

Acrobat Cannot Perform Text Recognition because page contains Renderable Text - Acrobat DC 2015

Suddenly, all my PDF's created from email or MS Word docs are unable to perform Text Recognition due to a "Renderable Text" error.   The recent Acrobat update seems to be the cause of this.

Unfortunately, I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling but I still get the error.  I am unable to employ OCR on any document that I create (using WIN10).

This is occuring on ALL my PC's running Acrobat DC 2015.

Thanks,
Herb...

When you create PDF files from email or Word docs you don't need Text Recognition.

Since when?   Regardless of your claim, Adobe DC PRO (2015) no longer has the ability to create searchable docs (through the Enhance Scans function) - REGARDLESS of how the PDF is created (MS WORD, Gmail, Outlook, etc).

I am told that the only way to solve this issue is to upgrade all 6 of my licences to Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017.
