Acrobat CC Version Difference?

Explorer ,
Oct 06, 2022 Oct 06, 2022

Hi, Our 12 month CC plan is up for renewal so I am going to take off a couple licences that are no longer required. It may be of use to have Acrobat Pro available to a user who needs to look into PDFs a bit more than you can in reader.

In the Update Plan section there are three options for Acrobat.

Acrobat Pro

Adobe Acrobat Pro (priced differently to Acrobat Pro)

Acrobat Standard DC

Can someone let me know the difference between the first two please and what Acrobat Standard DC doesnt have compared with Pro. The user that would use Acrobat only needs to be able to see sizes and the output preview to see how many colours are used and to see overprints etc and check sizes so maybe the Standard DC version would be suitable?

Thanks.

Hi @andrewb51522742

Thanks for reaching out.

To understand the difference between Adobe Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Std. Please refer to this plan & pricing page here: https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/pricing/business.html

Ideally, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Pro are both the same. It only makes a difference when it's Pro or Std.

We guess you have these two options on your account because of some promotion or discount. How did you reach this page? Was there any email received with a link to change the plan? Can you share the URL with us?

So you can continue with the one that has a lesser price.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Thanks for the reply.

I reached the page by logging into the Admin Panel and clicking the link that appears in the blue bar at the top telling me that our plan is due to renew. I then followed a link to update the plan where it lets me choose how many CC licences we want and then on the left of the screen lets me add other products, such as Acrobat by pushing the plus symbol. This is where I saw the three versions of Acrobat, two of which were Adobe Acrobat Pro and just Acrobat Pro.

Hi @andrewb51522742

Thanks for letting us know.

Have you been able to renew and start your plan again?

About the name discrepancy, as shared above, it should be in two different formats. Unless there's any promotion offered to your admin account.

Let us know if there's any further help required to get the renewal of the plan.

You can also get in touch with our billing team for further assistance on this. https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html

Thanks,

Akanchha
