Acrobat DC and XI loop!!!

I have a fully paid version of Acrobat XI.  I had a trial version of Acrobat DC.  I have done everything that I can find to uninstall DC.  I can't think of a reason to pay yet another subscription of $12.99 per month to simply read pdfs or have word to print in a pdf format.  However, I cannot print to a pdf now because I continue to get you "must pay us money to do this".  I found a site that said that DC and XI would conflict on Office Addins, so I understand that part.  All I want to do is uninstall Acrobat DC.

Windows 10 machine, 64-bit.

1.)  I have gone to the uninstall programs and told Windows to uninstall; I get the following error:  Uninstall of the patch package is not supported

2.)  I go to my Creative Cloud App and under App select Acrobat DC.  I click on the gear icon and select uninstall.  It goes to 2% and then refreshes like I have not done anything

3.)  I went to the explorer and tried to just delete the fold, but of course, you can't-do that.

Can anyone assist???

Chuck

No, that won't magically repair Office because only one Add-in can exist in the system. If you installed DC it will have lost the XI add-in. I'm surprised you were able to have both installed at the same time, it isn't supposed to work.

Anyway, have you tried doing a REPAIR of XI? That might put back the XI add-in.

Partial success :-)

When I clicked on Acrobat XI it started an installer.  You were correct, the Acrobat DC uninstall actually uninstalled XI.  After it installed (XI), I told it to check for updates.  It did an update.  Then I tried to click the repair option but it was greyed out.  After all of this, I tried to print to pdf in Office, worked great.  I tried to save to PDF in Office, worked perfectly.  So that problem is fixed and working.  Thank you very much.  I still have Adobe DC on the system.  I tried to uninstall it, no joy.  I guess I will just leave it for now.

Thanks.

Maybe you've succeeded in uninstalling DC. What exactly happens now when you try to reinstall XI? (On NO ACCOUNT try to uninstall software by deleting a folder. It just breaks it without uninstalling it, and it can be IMPOSSIBLE to recover).

I can go to the program search bar and start Acrobat XI and it works great.   The problem is that Adobe DC makes itself the default for the Office Addin.  It is a known issue with having both XI and DC installed at the same time.  I am assuming if I can get DC uninstalled then XI will work fine.
