Acrobat DC crashes a few seconds after opening. I cannot do any work on this application as a result. I have unsistalled and reinstalled twice. Checked for updates, but I am up to date.

I have un out of ideas. Could this be related to certificates as this started hapening after I digitally signed a document, even though I do this quite often. Please help.

Thanks. Alan

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the trouble caused.

Since you have already updated to the latest version and uninstalled and reinstalled the application. We'd like you to try a few more steps suggested below and see if that helps.

  1. If its a Windows machine that you have been working on, then try the troubleshooting steps suggested here https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-crashes-on-windows-os.html
  2. If unable to follow the step3 to disable the protected view as it immediately crashes, then reset the application's preferences following these steps: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/m-p/4792082

Let us know the result.

Thanks,

Akanchha

I have had this problem for ages (more than a year now) on a particular machine (iMac on 10.14.6). I've uninstalled all versions of Acrobat, and reinstalled it again (Distiller is currently 21.005.20058), and I've even tried deleting the preferences as mentioned in the linked article, but none of it seems to help. INCREDIBLY frustrating.
