Acrobat DC Installation failed

I have an iMac running Mac OS Siera 10.12.3 (latest version) It recently had a hard disk failure, so a rebuild was necessary. I have a valid Creative Cloud membership and every application has successfully reloaded, but Acrobat DC fails every time. There is no help specific to this problem. Every help file refers to specific codes, but I have none.

Message is:

- 0 fatal error(s), 2 error(s)

----------- Payload: Adobe Acrobat DC 15.23.20053.0 Acrobat DC/Acrobat DC Installer.pkg_15.023.20053 -----------

ERROR: DW006: Apple Package failed to install successfully.

ERROR: DW003: Third party payload installer /tmp/2E07AE02-AB6F-4124-88F9-6F66B1A35700/Acrobat_DC_Web_WWMUI/Acrobat DC/Acrobat DC Installer.pkg failed with exit code: 1

Adobe support is a joke: "Talk to real people."  Yeah, sure!

I did their cleanup , which nicely installed everything.

Reinstalling, Acrobat DC failed again, and now Lightroom has too:

- 0 fatal error(s), 1 error(s)

----------- Payload: Adobe Lightroom 6.0.0.0 {8048A5DF-8A70-5BE1-954B-E0FDE1BD0D0D} -----------

ERROR: DF015: Unable to delete symlink "/Applications/Adobe Lightroom/Adobe Lightroom.app/Contents/Helpers/DynamicLinkMediaServer/application/dynamiclinkmediaserver.app/Contents/Adobe QT32 Server.app/Contents/Frameworks"(Seq 3676)

Any help please? Desperate to get working again.

Lightroom works ok now after uninstalling,  renaming the folder and reinstalling, but Acrobat won't install. There is no Acrobat app or directory to uninstall or rename.
