Acrobat DC Locking Up - Beachball

I am plagued by a constant locking up of Acrobat DC with a system spinning beach ball. It started with the last few updates to the program.

I have to Force Quit. This last time I received no error report.

It happens usually when I open a second document of normal size. I dropped down to Adobe Acrobat X Pro just so I could be productive.

Architecture: x86_64

Build: 19.12.20034.328841

AGM: 4.30.85

CoolType: 5.14.5

JP2K: 1.2.2.43391

I have plenty of RAM and disk space.

I use FontExplorer X Pro.

macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6

Please advise.

Hi Armadillo,

Apologies for the delay in response and the trouble caused, I hope you would be able to fix it by now.

If the problem still persists, you may please follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the help article - Troubleshoot Mac OS 10.x system errors, freezes | Adobe software

What is the dot version of the application? to check the version of the application please refer to the link - Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Let us know if that brings any difference.

Regards,

Amal
