Acrobat DC Pro for mac

Will not install.  OS is Sierra 10.12.1.  I chatted with Adobe before buying and they assured me this would work on 10.12.1.

File downloads, but will not open.  I have a screen shot of portion of error message but don't see how I can attach to this.

I tried the process: I opened Contents > Mac OS > Download Assistant. There

is no "Install". When I clicked on the Download Assistant, I got this error

message: "DownloadAssistant quit unexpectedly", then this popped up in a box:
