Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.
The 64-bit application is a unified application for Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC. If you have installed Acrobat Reader DC 64-bit and you purchase an Acrobat DC subscription, the Acrobat Reader DC 64-bit application will upgrade to become a fully functional Acrobat DC 64-bit application.
For more information please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/about-acrobat-reader-dc-migration-to-64-bit.html

It's a great pity, because it made my job much easier to test the scripts for my Reader-only clients. It would be great if the development department would at least give the choice to use Reader as stand alone.
Best regards

We can no longer have both at the same time.

Meanwhile, for testing purposes, the best equivalent of Acrobat Reader is Foxit Reader.

Foxit Reader is the software that best compares with Acrobat Reader.
However, it does not support some deprecated JavaScript functions that Adobe still supports (which forced me to clean up some scripts).

Try Acrobat Reader in a VM.

Thx, this will be my next step, but that is nowhere near as comfortable as it has been up to now.
