Acrobat DC reference code 205, closes immediately and cannot be used

Just recently, I am unable to use Acrobat DC on a MAC.  Upon startup of the application, an error has occurred and needs to close.  Says to contact support and use the reference code 205 for more information on how to resolve but I cannot find a solution.

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are getting the error 205 and unable to use the application on Mac

 

Please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

 

If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat Cleaner Tool - https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer and reinstall the application using the link - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html and check.
