Acrobat DC: text missing

Product: Acrobat Pro DC

I am working on a PDF that I converted from Word and this afternoon I noticed that when cutting and pasting a string of numbers from one section to another (on the same page) some numbers were missing. I did the same thing several times in different sections, each time numbers were missing. For instance: 01 121718 1 28 should be 01- 121718- 15- 28. I have no idea what's causing this problem.

I find myself using Acrobat Pro DC more than Word but if this continues I'll have to rethink things.  If anyone has tips on how to avoid this in the future, please advise.

Thank you,

Theresa

Use Word. Acrobat's editing is limited at best, and designed for use in desperate emergencies when the original document is lost, and backups all eaten by termites. This is only partly the fault of the software. PDF was never designed for editing. It's amazing that Acrobat can edit PDF at all.
