Acrobat DC won't create PDF from Excel

Community Beginner ,

I am trying to convert a Excel file into a form fillable PDF but something keeps going wrong.  This is a screen shot when I start the conversion.  If you look down in the lower left corner you can see the Adobe Acrobat DC icon:

Starting File From an Excel File.jpgexpand image

However, as soon as I press start this is what that lower left corner then looks like:

What I Get After Clicking Start.jpgexpand image

Notice anything missing there?  Every time I press Start Acrobat DC closes.  Is there anyone who can tell me what to do so that I can actually convert my Excel file into a form fillable PDF??

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the Acrobat DC won't create PDF from Excel

Is this a behavior with a particular file or with all the files? Please try with a different file and check check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer first and then try again.

Also make sure yo have the recent version 21.11.20039 installed for Adobe Acrobat, go to help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once. Also try to repair the installation form the help menu and check.

Also, try to turn off the protected mode for testing (Win Only) Go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable Protected mode at startup' Turn off the protected mode and uncheck 'Enhanced Security' > Click OK and reboot the computer.
Note: Please turn on the security after testing avoid and security risk.

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...and see if that works for you.

Amal
