I'm trying to print pdfs from either Acrobat or Safari on my mac, which is running Sonoma 14. Hitherto there were no problems printing in colour, but now prints will only come out in black and white. I couldn't guarantee it, but this could be since I upgraded to Sonoma.
I have not changed my printer.
The dialogue box does not give an option for colour printing - it is not in any of the four options at the bottom of the dialgue box.
Adobe help page did not help - tried reistalling drivers to no avail.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe and it now works - an amazingly riduculous process - took over an hour to navigate.

I am having the same problem with Windows 10 and running Acobat Pro (Version 2023.008.20555) I can print in colour from any other program but Adobe only is only in B/W. Printer is a SHARP MX-3050V PCL6.
All help suggestions found so far have not helped. Settings have not changed between programs.
Would appreciate assisitance

Thanks - The first thing I checked. Again, I have no issues printing colour from any other programs, just Adobe. Dialogue picture is showing in colour but printed output is B/W.

This looks like colour:
But if your printer is set to print b/w, the printer will print b/w.
My other settings, that are controlled by Acrobat put the preview image in b/w.

Thank you for your response, I agree that the "image" is in colour, but the output is in B/W. All other programs output is in colour with the same printer settings.
The problem is not with my printer settings or anything else that I can adjust in the printer dialogue. I wonder if there is a setting in Adobe that overrides the printer properties.
I did make adjustments to Adobe a couple of weeks ago regtarding an "Aptos" font issue while creating PDFs and disabled the "Rely on System font....". It is rechecked now but my colour issue started at a similar time.

Your second screen is for creating PDF files. That is irrelevant for printing in Acrobat.
You may try several things:

Adobe screen shown only to show "Rely on system font......" referenced in post.
Your suggestions are great however we only have 1 colour printer in our office, We pay for this viewer so we want it to work, and it is unreasonable that I can't use my own computer.
Again, I can print colour from every other program except Adobe Pro.

This does not look like the Acrobat print dialogue.

Please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html and see if that works.

Did you use the AcoCleaner?

I do not know what that is. I uninstalled through the control panel and then reinstalled. I saw no mention of AcoCleaner in my searches.

Also, interestingly you marked this as correct - I don't think this is corrected - there is still the question as to why it was not printing in colour in the first place!!!! Un-installing and re-installing a program is not a bug correction.
