Hi @iTDon
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
Would you mind sharing the version of the OS you are using?
Please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in windows and try using the application there and check.
If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the direct link https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/acrobat-2020-downloads.html
Let us know how it goes.
Regards
Amal

We have also started to experience this for multiple users and it began when the recently released update 20.005.30436 was installed. Surely there is a better fix than having to reinstall all affected users, especially since an Adobe update is what caused the issue.
We are running Windows 10 21H2. Admin rights have nothing to do with this as all was fine prior to the update being installed.

We are sorry to hear that. Would you mind collecting the Adobe licensing logs and the Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via document cloud as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html so that we can isolate the issue for the fix.

Amal

That log collecter isn't even supported for Acrobat, only Creative Cloud which we do not use.
This is going to be a known issue affecting many other customers. Research internally and get back to us with actual information.

We are experiencing the same issue on multiple installs using the same version of both windows and acrobat pro. It;s becoming profoundly frustrating. We;ve tried the uninstall tool and reinstalling with no success. We also had no success stopping and deleting the genuine service app/service. "X"ing out the signin window still allows you to "save as", but it is a pain. again, no CC here, just acrobat. A solution would be greatlky appreciated.

Hi,
Apologies for the trouble you are facing using Acrobat. We are investigating the issue at our end.
Could you please try setting following preference in Acrobat and confirm if this fixes the issue
Launch Acrobat.
Go to Edit->Preferences->General
turn off: Show online storage when saving files

Ravi

I already tried the preferences setting and it did not work. We are using Acrobat Standard 2020 and this behavior started within the past week for a few users. We use a virtual desktop pool and the issue follows the user not the computer. What else can I try?

I've been digging for this thread through Bing and Google, glad I found it, thought I was going crazy. users of Adobe Acrobat Pro, 2020, suddenly being prompted to sign in repeatedly when working with the program. reinstalling everyone isn't a solution. also changing a preference in each users profile also isn't a solution. the solution is fixing and rolling out the fix for update that has caused this mess, OR, posting a HKLM registry fix to disable the Adobe Licensing Application pop-up altogether.....

looks like the workaround provided by Ravi, turning off the online storage has fixed the problem for now. I hope a future update removes the problem entirely.

Hi,
I'm having the same problem, but I'm using a Mac version (13.1).
I tried reinstalling Acrobat, but I'm still getting a blank login page.
Could you help me?

I turned it off yesterday (pure coincidence).
I would do it again if I was able to launch Acrobat.

Acrobat has continuous track - used by subscription only - and classic track - used by perpetual license only. Since you have the classic track, you must download the update for classic track. You have downloaded 22.003.20314 but need 20.005.30441. (A double check, contiuous versions are xx.yyy.2zzzz while classic versions are xx.yyy.3zzzz)

As the issue occurs when you try to update, try removing the application and rebooting the machine.
Reinstall the application from the following help page: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/acrobat-2020-downloads.html.
Check the version installed. If it has not been updated to the latest, you may install the latest update from this page: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/classic/dcclassic20.005jan2023qfe.....
Let us know if you still experience the issue.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

We have this latest version (20.5.30441.10441) of the Classic track for Acrobat 2020, which uses a volume perpetual license, but we still get the Adobe sign-in in Azure Virtual Desktop when the application gets opened. After closing the "Acrobat Licensing Application" window and it asks "are you sure", the program doesn't open. And we've tried reinstalling it on the gold image, as well, and manually updating it to this latest version. The application seems to open fine - AKA without asking for a sign-in - on the gold image, but after the host pool is reimaged from that gold image, the user is asked for a sign-in.
The bUpdater value is already set to "0" in the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\2020\FeatureLockDown\cServices key.
Can someone at Adobe please assist with this issue and provide a real working answer?

Did you ever figure this out or get any help from Adobe? I'm in the same boat and I'm not getting anywhere with them on this issue. Thanks

I agree with TheITKid, because this is really poor service. I purchased a perpertual license, and after entering my serial during installation, the software will not allow me to use it. I don't get an option to change any preferences or anything like that. Opening the program goes straight to the Sign In window, which spawns an Adobe Licensing Application window that crashes.
I would like to use the software that I purchased, as I'm sure many others would.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
