Question

acrobat-make page thumbnails always show up as a default

Hello. Previously, I had the page thumbnails in the sidebar set to always be in view upon opening. Now, I guess with the upgrade, the sidebar is blank, and I have to pause my train of thought and go through a couple of steps to bring back the thumbnails. Is there a reason for this?

Hi @rgbnites , see if enabling below settings of Naivigation Tab from Document properties would work. You can open this using Ctrl+D/Cmd+D in Win/Mac.

Thank you, Jain. I will try your suggestion. I can't understand why that feature was removed; page thumbnails were always visible upon opening in previous versions. There are other strange happenings in Acrobat Pro, like a page opening very large, showing only half the document. When using type, the font default is odd and very small—7point! And unlike Illustrator or Photoshop, which shows the previously used fonts on top of the list, you have to scroll down this huge list to find a common font like Helvetica.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
