Acrobat on Mac will not print more than one copy

Community Beginner ,

I administer over 80 macs in the building where I work. This is only happening to a few computers - and we can not explain it.

Using Mac OS Sequoia 15.3.2

I've RESET the printing system

Reinstalled latest Xerox drives

Unistalled Adobe Acrobat Pro

Reinstalled Adobe Acrobat Pro 2025.001.20432

Installed the Xerox C310 printer.

If I Print a document (using Adobe Acrobat Pro) and select to print 2 copies the printer will only print one copy. This is only happening on Xerox C310 printers - which all have the latest drivers. We have numerous C310 units. If I select a different printer (not a C310) - it will work.

This is NOT happening on all computers in our office. Only a select few. Some will print more than one copy. There is no explanation... does anyone have any insight?

If I select to open and print with the application "Preview" - it works. The only application that will not print more than one copy is Adobe Acrobat Pro. Simple Text, Apple Mail, Word etc. - all work fine....

HI @scarygarynightingale

I understand how frustrating it must be to not be able to print multiple copies, especially when it worked fine before. Let’s try a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

First, let’s check a few things:

1. Does this happen with all PDFs or just specific ones? Try printing a different PDF to see if the issue persists.

2. Have you tried using Adobe Acrobat Reader instead of Acrobat Pro? If Reader prints correctly, it could help isolate the issue.

3. Does the issue occur with all printers, or just one? Testing another printer (if available) can help pinpoint if it’s printer-specific.

Next, try these steps:

Check Print Dialog Settings – In the Acrobat print window, manually increase the copy count and ensure “Collate” is selected if needed.

Reset Acrobat Preferences – Sometimes, resetting preferences can resolve unexpected behavior. : https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

Test with a Different User Profile – Create a new macOS user profile and try printing from Acrobat there.

Gathering More Information

If the issue persists, could you share Acrobat Troubleshoot Logs with us? These logs can help identify any underlying errors. You can generate them by following these steps:

🔹 Help > Adobe Acrobat Log Collector Tool (Follow the instructions to save and share logs).

In case, you don't view the "Troubleshoot Acrobat" option, select the Acrobat menu / Edit > Preferences... and then select the Enable troubleshooting option from the General tab. Once the option is checked, you need to navigate to Acrobat > Help > Troubleshoot Acrobat. This tool helps you upload logs to our servers from your machine and share the log ID with us, so we can track them.

It is definitely only happening on Xerox C310 printers. I have tried all of the above... no changes. I will contact Xerox - as I believe the problem "most likely" resides there. I can print multiple copies on other printers in our building.

Hello @scarygarynightingale!

I hope you are doing well, and sorry for the delayed response.

Just following up to check if you are still experiencing the issue? Or did it get resolved the Xerox?

Please ensure you are on the latest build of the Acrobat app, check for any pending updates from the Acrobat menu > Help > Check for updates. Feel free to reach out if you need any assistance.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
