I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Version 2015.006.30527n on my MacBook Air M2 with MacOS Sonoma Version. 14.0. When trying to open Adobe the application stalls. If eventually it opens, and I wish to the print a PDF document, ;pop-up message advise that the document cannot be printed.

Please consider updating your software to a more compatible version.

Can you try to open the pdf using a up to date web browser and see if the print is allowed.

Also, Check in Acrobat from File > Properties > Securit tab if Printing is allowed

no solution. uninstalled adobe acrobat completely and using adobe reader only + Preview of Mac. All these PDF full apps are way too expensive if one is retired and uses only 5% of the apps' capacity. There should be a price for retirees somilar to the reduced price students can get.

There could always be a more economic version. But please keep in mind, you have bought a MacBook Air M2, which is expensive. I won't discuss your choices, but for hardware you are willing to put the money on the table.

And with the latest macOS, you can expect multiple issues with older software.
