Hi Zaher,

Apologies for the inconvenience caused, as you are experiencing difficulty while opening the PDF files from Outlook using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2017.011.30143, we need some more information for a better understanding.

  • Is this the behaviour with a particular file or with any file that you try to open?
  • Are you on a home network or on a work domain?

In the meantime, you may try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Please try to update the application to the latest version to get access to the latest features and functionality. Go to Help>Check for updates. To know the latest version available you may please follow the link-DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products
  • You may also try to repair the installation. Go to Help>Repair Installation.
  • For the testing purpose, you may try to switch off the protected mode. Go to Edit>Preferences>Enhanced Security>Uncheck the enhanced security and turn off the protected mode. Reboot the system and check.
Note: Turn On the securities after the testing.

I hope this will help, do let us know the results.

Regards,

Amal

Hi zaher,

Apologies for the delay in response. As you have tried the above troubleshooting steps and the problem still persists, please try to change the Outlook account settings as follows:

  • Open Outlook. Go to File> Account settings
  • The account settings dialogue box is displayed, on the Email tab, click Change.

  • The change account dialogue box is displayed. Deselect the used cached exchange mode checkbox.

  • Click next and then click finish. If you see a prompt to quit and restart, Click ok.
  • Close the account settings dialogue box, quit and restart the Outlook.

Also, please try to update the Outlook to the latest version.

For more information please refer to the help article - https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/2652320/outlook-not-responding-error-or-outlook-freezes-when-you-open-a-file-o
