Acrobat Pro 2020 crashing when opening hyperlinks

Currently running Arobat Pro 2020 ver. 2020.001.30010 and everytime I try and open a hyperlink in a .pdf document the program goes 'not responding' and needs to be restarted.

I am able to open the links in Acrobat Reader in browser without issue.

I have tried several fixes I found here with no luck. Hoping for some further help on this.

Hi Jordan

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, the Acrobat 2020 is freezing and crashing on opening the hyperlink in the PDF file.

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs with hyperlinks? Please try with a different file and check.

Are you on Windows or Mac machine and what is the version of the OS?

Please try to turn off the protected mode for testing (Windows Only) Go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable protected mode at startup' Turn off the protected mode and uncheck the Enhanced Security > Click OK and reboot the computer and check.
Note: Please turn on the security after testing to avoid security risks.

Also, please try to repair installation (Windows only) from the help menu and see if that makes any difference.

If it still doesn't work, please try to create a new rest user profile in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.
