Acrobat Pro 2020 Licenses Expiring

I recently received a notification that stated in part that, "support for Acrobat Pro 2020 will end by July 2025, and the licenses will expire on December 1, 2026, after which the product will no longer function." Is this true, and if so, can they really deactivate products I purchased years ago? I have two Acrobat Pro 2020 licenses and am wondering what my options are to keep these products working.

@Michael30714328jij0  In the context of Adobe's software, "end of support" often means that the software will no longer receive updates, which can eventually lead to compatibility issues with newer operating systems or security vulnerabilities.

Whether or not the software will "no longer function" is a more complex issue. Generally, perpetual licenses, like those for Acrobat Pro 2020, allow you to continue using the softwareHowever, the lack of updates can create problems over time. You can likely continue using Acrobat Pro 2020 after the end-of-support date. However, be aware of the potential risks associated with using outdated software — Adobe will no longer provide updates, security patches, or technical support for the software.

If security is an issue, Adobe encourages users to transition to their subscription-based Acrobat offerings (Acrobat Pro DC or similar). This ensures you always have the latest features and security updates.

That is not what that message says, though. It says (if quoted correctly, I didn't see it myself) that the product will no longer function, which is very different from "it will no longer receive updates"... And unfortunately, yes, it's possible Adobe will do that. They already did something similar with earlier versions.
