Acrobat Pro 2020 Won't Recognize Text

Acrobat Pro 2020 is suddenly either not recognizing text as text, or doing a very poor job with text recognition. I've attached a screenshot of a file where it isn't recognizing text at all, in fact the recognize text button is unselectable.

The app also opens with some message about making the file ready, but that process never starts or ends on the progress bar, the pop-up just stays on screen until I remove it.

I just solved a similar issue by printing the pages to pdf (I chose fit to page) and they ran OCR again and it worked. I beleive my issue was due to the font size.

In the image you show, it's not possible to see what's going on.

Can you select the text that is seen in this document? If so, than it already has been scanned. Generally, when you enter the Edit mode, Acrobat will automatically OCR the content of the page. If that is not working, if you click on the "Scan & OCR Tool" you can then force the OCR process to start by clicking on the Recognize text option.
