Acrobat Pro (24.003.20180) slow load times after upgrading to Windows 11 24H2

I am running the current version of Acrobat Pro (24.003.20180) and it now takes 24 seconds to open a pdf file after upgrading Windows 11 from 23H2 (2023 update) to 24H2 (2024 update OS Version 10.0.26100.1742).  If I modify Acrobat Pro by turning off "Run in AppContainer" under Security (Enhanced) in Acrobat preferences files load in 1 second.

I have the same issue and I don't think Adobe is aware of it

The fix is to turn off Protected Mode in the settings

Hi @majerovy,

Thanks for writing in!

Instead of completely disabling Protected Mode, you can try unchecking the Run in AppContainer checkbox.

-Souvik

Unchecking the Run in AppContainer checkbox worked for me.  Thanks Souvik and others.

For others, that can be found directly under  Edit/Preferences (ctl+K)/Security Enhanced/ and look to top right under Sandbox.

Same goes for me.  After latest Windows Update,  It takes forever to open a PDF file.  Surely Adobe is aware of this?
