Acrobat Pro DC not loading Sign options, perpetual loading

New Here ,
Jul 17, 2018 Jul 17, 2018

I am unable to add a signature to PDFs in Acrobat Pro DC as the Sign option in the Fill & Sign tool does not load. I am signed into my Adobe account when using Acrobat Pro DC. I have given it ample time (10+ minutes) but it never loads. My local IT for my company has uninstalled and re-installed Acrobat Pro DC without that resolving the issue. I see that slow loading is listed in the known issues (ever since Dec 2015 without a solution listed - 4055402) but this implies it does eventually load whereas my issue is it never loads. Attached is a screenshot of what it looks like when I use the Sign option. The Sign option did work on my previous Adobe Acrobat Reader DC but I need to be able to use Pro DC for editing PDF and signing them. I am currently using version 2018.011.20055

Hello Williamp,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Acrobat and Fill&Sign option not loading. Please sign out from Acrobat and then reboot the machine. Sign back in with your Adobe ID and password in Acrobat and check.

Try resetting the Adobe Reader's Preferences once and reboot the machine, to reset the Preferences, refer to How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

Also, repair the installation files of Adobe Reader from help>repair installation, reboot the machine after repair.

Is it possible to connect the machine to a different network environment like a guest wireless network or to a mobile hotspot?

Is Fill&Sign option is not loading on a specific PDF or with all the PDF files? What is the version of OS installed?

Try removing Acrobat using Acrobat cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Reboot the machine and install Acrobat back from Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC | Non-subscription

let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

I am actually having the exact same issue, except with Acrobat 2017 instead of DC. I have tried all suggestions in your post, AnandSri , but even after complete re-installation, Fill & Sign is not working.

It is not loading properly on any PDF files that I've tried. I'm using the latest version of Acrobat 2017 with Windows 7 SP1 installed.

Are there any additional steps I can try? Or should I create a new thread here on the forums since it's happening on Acrobat 2017 instead of Acrobat DC?

Hi All,

We use the following end points in Fill & Sign –

  • cloud.acrobat.com
  • fillsign.acrobat.com
  • files.acrobat.com
  • createpdf.acrobat.com

Can you please make sure that all of these are white listed on your network.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Sandeep

We are having this same issue.  We can load a signature in Acrobat Reader but not in Acrobat Pro DC with the latest patch.  All the web addresses that Sandeep mentioned are whitelisted for us.  This is an issue for multiple users in our organization!  Any help is appreciated.

LATEST

Hi williamp42405515,

From your snapshot it seems that you are not on the latest version of Acrobat. Could you please update to the latest version. Go to Help > Check for updates.

In case if you still encounter the issue after updating then please provide fiddler logs if possible :

    • Download fiddler from: https://www.telerik.com/download/fiddler
    • Run fiddler and go to ‘Tools->Options’
    • In HTTPS tab, ensure the checkboxes are checked: ‘Capture HTTPs connects’ and ‘Decrypt HTTPs traffic’.
    • Now let fiddler run and launch Acrobat and perform the same operation.
    • Once complete do a save of data by ‘File->Save->All sessions’.
    • Please share this data.

Regards,

Sandeep Grover
