Question

Acrobat Pro DC + SharePoint (Other Storage) - Does it have to be the top level of the site?

We recently started using Acrobat Pro for a few users. They use SharePoint. It seems that if we add a top level site, no problem.

Example: https://somecompany.sharepoint.com/sites/SomeImportantShares

But we have a user who only has access to a sub folder in the above example. So their URL includes all the additonal info in the link regarding the user and subfolder.

Example: https://somecompany.sharepoint.com/sites/SomeImportantShares/Layout/15/%Documents/User%20Folders/Jane%20Doe?csf=1&web=1 (Not the exact structure, but you get the idea.)

I'm thinking that Adobe will only add the SharePoint storage if it is the top level of the site and not direct to a sub-folder. The user does not have permissions for any of the higher level folders or the root site. Only that folder buried within the site.

Any insights are much appreciated.

Hi @Mark3630836550ax,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

While the response is delayed, this may still give some clarity on why this happens:

  • Permissions Scope: Acrobat Pro relies on permissions and visibility at the site level. If the user lacks access to the higher-level site, Acrobat may not resolve or map the sub-folder correctly.
  • URL Limitations: Acrobat's SharePoint integration may not support complex URLs with query parameters pointing to sub-folders.
  • Mapping Restrictions: Acrobat expects a clear connection to the document library at the top-level site rather than deep links to sub-folders.
