Acrobat Pro DC - Typewriter tool issue/ text is there but not visible

I have a workstation having trouble with the typewriter tool. We are using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2019.010.20069. I can select the typewriter tool and type on the document, but after I change tools or move to another area of the document, the text disappears I just typed. I know it is still there because when I click back on the spot the text was, the area becomes active again and I can view or change the text. What is wrong with my typewriter tool that the text keeps disappearing?

I actually contacted an Adobe Support technician and he was able to help me. He had to get into the “Registry Editor” and change the opacity settings. He thinks a corrupted file of some kind caused it to set to a low level. He reset it to one and it allowed the text typing tool to work.

Thank you for your help!

Hi Meganp,

Sorry for the delay in response.

As you have mentioned above, the text recently added disappears when you move to other fields on the document.

Could you please confirm if you are filling a PDF form or adding the comment to the PDF?

Did you check if this issue occurs with this particular document or with others as well?

It would be helpful if you can share the exact workflow you do and share the document with us. We would like to check it on our end.

You may share the document either here in the forum reply or in a private messageHow Do I Send Private Message

As there is no option to attach the document, please use the steps mentioned here to share the document How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud

We will be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Meenakshi
