Acrobat Pro - Digital Signature not Working

Sine the recent update to Acrobat Pro, I have been unable to:

(a) Insert a digital signature in my pdf document. When I identify the location for it (by drawing a rectangle) the screen goes black. I can only recover my document by pressing "Esc".

(b) Use the Fill & Sign feature entirely.

Can anyone please advise a solution to this issue, or alternatively, let me know how I can roll back to the previous (and fully functional) version.

Go to Preferences > Signatures , Creations and Appearance and Turn off "Use modern user interface for signing and digital id configuration"

Thanks for the tip. The digital signature feature is now working
correctly.

Do you also have a suggestion for Fill & Sign? Although it comes up as a
choice to add to the toolbar, selecting "Sign Yourself" it does nothing.

Make sure the font color is not set to white.
