Question

Acrobat Pro keeps freezing.

I've tried everything.  Support is of no help after multiple days of attempting to fix this issue.  I bought 3 brand new desktop's.  Two of the three are flawlessly running Adobe Acrobat Pro.  The 3rd will freeze and hiccup constantly making the software useless.  I'm on Windows 11.

Things I've tried so far -

Enhanced Security and Protected Mode have both been disabled.

Uninstalled using Adobe's cleaner tool, then Revo uninstaller to clean the remainder up.

Reinstalled, same issue.

Uninstalled again using the same method as before, but then installing the 32bit program.  Same issues.

Created a new user account.  Same issues.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Have you found a solution to this yet? I have the same issue.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20857 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/4d38JKX
