Acrobat Pro | M2 Max Studio , 32GB | Large Files SLOW and Crashing App

New Here ,
Sep 13, 2023 Sep 13, 2023

Brand new studio, Ventura 13.5.2.

Fresh install of my Adobe CC apps. (No mac migration) all up to date.

I can't believe how awful the experience has been with Acrobat Pro. I'm coming from a spec'd out 2019 27" iMac - Got this new studio hoping that i'd get some fast load times on pdf's. So far has been the complete opposite. Same file opening on the iMac will load, but will struggle through zooming and editing, but will get the job done. On the brand new studio the file opens, but once I try to do anything, zoom, edit etc - I get the beach ball and either a app crash or "application not responding".

I work with alot of large wall wraps and vehicle wraps for print.

I'm here posting as a last resort: I've already searched some older fourms and tried uninstalling, installing, removing app prerences and even creating a new admin user on the mac to test - same results.

Am I doing something wrong? Is anyone else experiencing this?

HELP. PLEASE.

FOUND A POTENTIAL WORK AROUND FOR ANYONE EXPERIENCING THIS.

In another thread I found a link to the 2020 version of Acrobat Pro.
https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/acrobat-2020-downloads.html

I removed the Current acrobat via Creative Cloud and deleted all prefrences assosictated with it.
Installed from the link above as Trial and once the app downloads and starts up you can sign in using your adobe account.

I've opened the file that I was previously testing with in my original post in the 2020 version and was able to work with it much easier. Still not as fast as it should probably be in 2023 on one of Apple's latest. But workable.

Clearly the newest version of Acrobat is struggling. Any insight from Adobe and the team would be appreaciated.

Thanks
