When I add a title to a PDF's properties (a) and save the file, it does not update in the title bar (b). I have to run the Accessibility Check and "Fix" the Title - Failed (c) (and save the file) in order for it to update. Is this a bug or am I doing something incorrectly? Shouldn't it update automatically once I add the title and save?

Hopefully this will solve your problem....(And no, it isn't obvious, and yes, it is bat-crazy that a user has to actually select this to make it the default setting.) With no files open, go to Edit --> Preferences and then go here and checkmark the circled item:

Hi Two-fer, I'm trying to get the document title to be an actual title, not the filename unfortunately. I do have that setting unchecked but the original problem persists.

Hi Community -
I'm still seeking a solution if one is available.
I just uninstalled/reinstalled Acrobat (it updated to the latest user interface as of April 2023), however the problem I posted still persists.
Problem:
When I add a title to a PDF's properties and save the file, it does not update in the title bar - only the file name still shows in the title bar.
Is there any resolution to this? Thank you.
