I am running desktop Acrobat Pro on a 2023 Macbook Pro (Sequoia). I have a document that I have worked with for a long time, but I can no longer see most of the content in it. I can see the content when I work in Adobe.com, but not on my desktop app.
I have removed the checkmarks on smooth line art and smooth images, but that doesn't fix the issue. My use of Acrobat Pro is fairly limited to reviewing and minor editing of documents, so I am struggling to understand the problem. Can anyone help?
I can't upload the document here due to work restrictions, but below is a screenshot of the issue:

Hi @defaulto322rh7v8qns @Xiaobo31581798igia
Sorry for the troubled experience, and thank you for reaching out.
Sadly, I am unable to reproduce the behavior. A few other users have reported a similar issue.
Could you help us with the following:
- When did this start to happen?
- Is this happening with all the files? Could you please share an affected file/s with us?
- Also, share a video or screenshot of how it looks at your end when you open the same PDF in Acrobat and when you open it in Acrobat Web.
Ensure your copy of Acrobat is updated, launch Acrobat > Help > Check For Updates.
Also, could you share the Acrobat Troubleshoot Logswith us? These logs can help identify any underlying errors. You can generate them by following these steps:
🔹 Help > Adobe Acrobat Log Collector Tool (Follow the instructions to save and share logs).
In case, you don't view the "Troubleshoot Acrobat" option, select the Acrobat menu / Edit > Preferences... and then select the Enable troubleshooting option from the General tab. Once the option is checked, you need to navigate to Acrobat > Help > Troubleshoot Acrobat. This tool helps you upload logs to our servers from your machine and share the log ID with us, so we can track them.
Thank you for your patience and support.

Hi Ravi,
I was not the original requestor, but I found this post because I am having the same issue. I am going to attach a file in which, when I open it in the desktop app, I can see the header and footer information, but the middle of the document is blank. When I select to edit the PDF, I see outlines for all of the text in the middle of the page, but cannot see the text. When I select a text box, the options indicate that the font is black though it is not visible. I attempted to change the font color but the text still could not be seen. If I open the file in Chrome I am able to see all of the content.
This just started happening last night. This morning I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat, but the issue persists.
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Sam

Hello ravinderg62643219 and Tariq,
I work as a software engineer for a company that creates PDFs for our customers and we are also experiening the issue described above.
We have several customers reporting to us that PDFs that our product has generated are not rendering correctly in Adobe Reader, however are rendering correctly in other PDF readers (Chrome, MacOS preview, ect).
I am able to reproduce this with a PDF that does not render correctly when using Adobe Reader on a MacOS M3 laptop, however it does render correctly on Adobe Reader for Android and Windows 10.
I have attached an example PDF below.
Whilst I can't be certain, it looks like there is an issue rendering fonts in Adobe Reader on MacOS.
My Adobe Reader version (latest):
Architecture: arm64 Processor: Apple M3 Pro Build: 25.1.20432.0 AGM: 7.1.10 CoolType: 10.0.2 JP2K: 4.0.2.54782
I am unable to download a previous version of Adobe Reader to see if it is a regression in Adobe Reader - if you are able to do this please do let me know if a previous version renders correctly.
Thanks,
Peter

Hi Ravi,
Thank you!!! The auto updates apparently did their job when I opened Acrobat 🙂 as my files are now showing all content!
Thanks!

Hi Ravi,
I am the original poster. I worked with someone at Adobe who uninstalled and reinstalled my Adobe and corrected the issue. However, once the update was rolled out, the issue re-presented itself. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe and confirmed that I am running the most up to date version, yet the issue persists.

Just ran into this issue with a user. Adobe Acrobat will not fully open PDFs. By this, I mean when the user receives a PDF it will not fully render the data in the file. Edge opens and sees everything just fine but Acrobat is missing content. I reinstalled, updated and restarted. No luck.
