Acrobat Reader vs Pro best as standard app in win 10?

Hi.

I have the creative suite and want the snappiest fastest Acrobat reading app out there for ttandard use of 95% reading and 5% editing.

Is there any difference in speed for reading and searching a document between Acrobat Reader vs Pro?

Which one do you use? Which one do you recommend having as a standard app in windows 10?

Pro and Reader are much the same for reading speed. Pro does allow you to create indexes for faster searching.

I have used Acrobat from the very early days and I will tell you that Adobe has gone downhill in so many ways that if there was an alternative app, it would give me the greatest pleasure to tell Adobe to stick it where the sun don't shine.   I am a physician and I annotate my PDFs heavily.   Yesterday, Adobe DC would not open and sending something to Apple (which is the screen I got) is worthless.   No notification from Adobe about a need to uninstall my latest Acrobat DC version and then reinstall.  What friggin company does this?  And where is a telephone number or access to chat to fix a problem like this. I spent 2 hours looking for explanations about how to fix.  My recommendation to you is to see if you can find on Amazon an old Acrobat version 9 app to purchase that does not require a yearly absurd fee for a crappy app and even crappier tech support from a company that does not give a flyin you know what.
