Acrobat Readers spontaneously starts, then shuts down again

That's really the entire problem. The program will occasionally (about 1-2 times per day) start completely unpromted, will stay open for a few seconds, then will close again.

I have tried doing a clean reinstall, but it hasn't changed.

OS is Windows 10. Current version is 2024.003.20180. Haven't had any other issues with the program.

Does anyone know what is causing this and how I can stop it?

Thanks for posting your issue to Adobe. If I understood your problem correctly, Adoeb Reader launches automatically, remains open for few seconds and closes of its own. No PDF file is opened in that session, right ?
