Acrobat's Add Text Comment Tool shows wrong icon

Hi everyone,

After experimenting with all 20 of Acrobat's (enable new interface) comment tools, I notice that it shows the same icon for the Add Text Comment with a Border tool the same as the Add Text Comment Tool.

In the old interface, the Add Text icon is a big letter T. In the new interface it uses the same icon as the previously mentioned tool (Add Text Comment with a Border) even while it shows the big letter T icon on the right side panel Commenting panel.

Anyone else see this inconsistency? It looks like a mistake to me.

Here, displayed in the vertical Quick Tools panel, is the one tool called Add Text Comment:

and here, in the same Quick Tools panel, is the Add Text Comment with a Border:

These icons appear to be the same to me.

My version is Acrobat Pro 2025.01.20693 running on Windows 11.

Notice what the Commenting side panel shows for icons:

Hi Mike,

Sorry about the delay in response.

Thank you for sharing the screenshots. You are correct, the icons for both the options appear the same.

We will check with the team if it is by design or if it needs to be changed.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Mike Witherell,

Thank you for reaching out and reporting this.

As we check, the icon appears to be different. To be sure we are referring to the same tool, please share the screenshot for reference. Also, please share the Acrobat version where you find this inconsistency.

We will get it checked.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
