Acrobat X Pro - Windows 7 - Missing context menu

Hi, so I just installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro on a Windows 7 computer and noticed how the context menu "right click" for "Combine PDF files" are missing. Open with Adobe Acrobat X however is there, but when selecting two or more PDF files, this option isn't there anymore. It was before installing Acrobat X from Acrobat 9.3.

I tried regsvr32 for ContextMenu.dll as well as the ContextMenu64.dll, since this is a 64bit Windows 7 computer. I also tried removing the entry from registry. When I ran the regsvr32 again, the registry entry came back. So the registering of the dll seems to be working.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is to restart the computer. Would that be necessary? Or is this option removed from Acrobat X?

Is anyone else missing the ability to print from the right click menu?  I used to be able to right-click on a PDF and select print, but I

am no longer able to do so. Print is gone.

    Thanks!

    Hi Randy,

This option has not been removed from Acrobat X.

On a lab machine (Windows 7 Ultimate - 64-bit), I placed two PDF files on my desktop.  Selected both files, right-clicked and the option "Combine supported files in Acrobat..." was available to me.

If you haven't restarted after installation, that could be the problem.

Please reply to this post if you are still experiencing this issue!

    Thank you,

    David

I have the same behaviour after the update from 10.0.0 to 10.0.1 on Win 7x64 Pro.

All Acrobat related right click context menu items have disappeared except for 'Open with Adobe Acrobat X'.

    (System has been rebooted.)

For anyone else who has pronlems doing this:

1: click the Windows start button (the big buel globe with the windows logo)

    2: Click 'All programs'

3: scrol to 'Accesories and click it

4: right-click on the 'Command Prompt'

5: A context menu will open, select 'Run as Administrator'

6: Click yes on the user Account control window that pops up

7: The command prompt window is now open and active

    8 type

    regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat Elements\Contextmenu64.dll"

    and press return.

Thank you so much!  I had ran repair on the install several times with a reboot and no luck until I found these in

structions.  I really appreciate the help... now back to combining files!
