Acrobat X Pro won't open

Acrobat X Pro, Windows 10

I was scanning a document to create a pdf, Acrobat said there was an error, would close and inform me when it was fixed. Acrobat will not open, I tried rebooting to no avail. Looked on forums and downloaded Acrofix, I think it ran, it opened an closed in less than a blink. Acrobat still does not open.

I tried Customer Support, worthless would be an improvement.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Thanks!

I would suggest doing a clean install.  First remove the product and then reinstall. After the clean install, run the Acrofix patch you mention.  The way you describe it as running (in a blink) is normal and correct.

Remember that you may need to deactivate the product on your computer before you remove it (I have it as part of a creative suite so if I was doing this, I would deactivate the entire suite, remove then re-install the entire suite).

As I mentioned in my reply to try67, the product works fine on Windows 10 (I have been using it without issue for years).

Acrobat X is not compatible with Windows 10, so problems are to be

expected, especially when it comes to integration with other software or

hardware, like a scanner.

Acrobat X works fine with Windows 10.  I use that combination.
