Add calendar feature to Acrobat pdf

Adobe needs to introduce an interactive feature whereby calendar dates in a pdf automatically populate the reader's calendar with a click. Not unlike a hotlink to a website.

It does exist. Any field set up with the Date option selected under Format will show a calendar widget when viewed in Adobe Acrobat (Reader), assuming it's a relatively new version of that application.

Thanks. I've looked online to see how it actually functions and it falls well short of what I want to achieve. I picture just a line of text that automatically populates/opens your calendar with the event when you click on it. Simple, elegant. That's it. See below.

No such feature exists in any PDF viewer I'm aware of. You're welcome to develop it, if you wish.
