When our users scan a document using an HP Color LaserJet Flow E87640 the PDF produced looks normal; however, when adding text using Adobe Acrobat Pro, the cursor does not position where the mouse is clicked. The cursor for text input appears about an inch above where the mouse is clicked.
This is a repeatable issue. Nitro Pro does not seem to have this same issue (adding text via mouse click goes where expected). The printer was upgraded last evening to the latest firmware from HP, but the results are the same.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a better workaround or fix for this: settings perhaps?
If the same PDF that was scanned via the HP printer is again printed to PDF using the destiller, the PDF then works normally and edit/add text is fine.
Side-note, this is without OCRing the page.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.

How exactly are you adding the text? What tool are you using?
The fact this issue only happens with those scanned files suggests there's some issue with their internal structure.
Could you share a sample file with us?

Hi @try67, and thank you for the reply.
Adding text is being peformed through the 'Edit PDF' item on the right-side panel, then the usual 'Add Text' button that appears near the top. I have noticed that the issue seems to only be present if OCR has been turned off or cancelled from performing (ie press ESC once the document opens to stop it from processing).
Attached are a sample file and a little video clip of the symptom.

Has anyone experienced similar issues? Otherwise, maybe we will count it as a shortcoming of the software. Thanks!
