Adobe Acrobat 10 ran perfectly on Windows XP and will not run on Windows 10 under any compatibility setting - help?

I used the Windows 10 program troubleshooter and gave up so I sent a message to Microsoft and cam back after detecting that the program is not compatible with Windows 10.  I cannot imagine and expensive program like Acrobat not working some way on Windows 10

I go to start, apps and the acrobat.  I've also tried going to the .exe in programs and same result

Time for an upgrade.

It’s long past being supported but some people have success. What EXACTLY happens?

It does not open when clicked.  But if I go to program files and right click the .exe file I can select troubleshoot compatibility.  No matter which version of Windows selected when the program last worked XP, 7, 8 etc. the Windows 10 does not recognize it to open it.  Then if I go to select the Notify Microsoft the detector runs on my PC for a while and then messages that it is not compatible.  But for such an expensive program I wonder about that - maybe a geek knows what is wrong.  Thanks for your help!!!!
