Hello,

I´m working with an important .PDF Document and need to use the Inter Regular Font.

I allready reinstalled it several times from different sources, but still can´t get/see the inter regular font in adobe acrobat classic.

I see and can use any other inter font, but no regular.

Whats the issue?

Hello @markus_6987

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Are you still experiencing the issue? In addition to what our community product expert has shared, please ensure that you are using the latest available build of Acrobat Classic 2024: 24.001.30254. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

Ensure that Inter Regular is properly installed and not bundled incorrectly:

  • On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Fonts and confirm that “Inter Regular” appears as a standalone entry.
  • On macOS: Use Font Book to validate the font and check for duplicates or conflicts.

If needed, reinstall the font from a trusted official website only.

Disable System Font Restriction. Acrobat may restrict font access due to system settings: Go to File > Print > Adobe PDF > Properties. Under Adobe PDF Settings, uncheck: “Rely on system fonts only; don’t use document fonts”. This allows Acrobat to access all installed fonts.

Let us know how it goes

@markus_6987 Did you restart your Adobe apps? Sometimes, you need to restart the apps for the app to recognize the downlaoded fonts.

Inter is a variable font, and sometimes different applications interpret its internal naming or how it presents its various weights. In many Adobe applications, font weights are often grouped under the main family name. Instead of looking for "Inter Regular" as a separate font, look for "Inter" and then check if "Regular" is available as a style or weight within that "Inter" family dropdown. Acrobat might not list "Inter Regular" as a top-level font name. While n Figma, it goes be Inter 400, Inter 300, etc.

What I have done is gone to Google and download the entire font family package, not just a subset. That normally does the trick, but maybe your computer is more complex, so you could go the Official Inter Website (rsms.me/inter): This is the most reliable source. They often provide different versions (e.g., static TTF, variable TTF, OTF). Try installing the static TTF files if you've been using variable or OTF, as some older software (or specific configurations) can have issues with variable fonts or certain OpenType features.

After installing or reinstalling fonts, always close all Adobe applications (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and then restart them. This often forces them to rebuild their font cache.

Hello,

thank you for your fast reply.

I restarted adobe classic

I checked just as you describe only with "inter", I found every other inter version, but not regular

I have reinstalled the complete inter family, inclusive regular

Still not inter regular available. Other pdf document software has inter regular and I had do switch to them to work further.
