I recently updated to Tahoe 26.1 on my Macbook pro and now everytime I double click an editable field to update it crashs (quits). Tried multiple files and also reinstalling Acrobat etc... but no luck. It ppears to be an issue with the Tahoe 26.1 update? Does anyone have solutions.

Correct answer AnandSri

I am following this thread for the emialed replies. I'm having the same issue on a project with a short deadline. I'm hoping to find a quick resolution.

Hello @defaulthojnb4a4c8cm

I hope you are doing well, and I am sorry for the trouble you had.

Could you please check for the latest update of the Acrobat app from Menu (Windows)/Acrobat (Mac) > Help > Check for updates, install the latest build version: 25.001.20937. Planned update: Nov 20, 2025. Restart the app and the machine, and try again.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Hello!

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had.

Could you please share more details? Is it crashing only when trying to access the form fields' properties, or with other tools/workflow?

For testing purposes, please disable enhanced security once from Acrobat > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) > uncheck "Protected Mode at Startup" and "Enhanced Security". Click Ok, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

If the issue continues, please provide the following information: the current version of the operating system on your device and the logs from the affected machine. To collect the logs, download and run the Log Collector tool. Ensure that you select all log options and attempt to reproduce the issue. After that, close the Log Collector tool; it will generate the logs along with a log ID. Please share this log ID with us for further investigation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Thanks. That security chagne did nothing to resolve the problem. It seems to happen only wehn I double click on a form field to edit the properties. It quits the application instantly. Log report below

@Todd26588134hjap Are you using the old Classic interface or the new Acrobat interface? Sometimes the new Acrobat interface could be the culprit?! Try turning this off to see if this will do the trick, View-Disable new Acrobat. Acrobat will restart automatically.

Also, you could try instead of right-clicking, how about using a keyboard shortcut Command E (MAC)—hopefully, this keyboard shortcut will open the Properties dialog box directly without causing a crash.
