I'ml using Acrobat Pro DC version 2021.005.20048.
When i use the cntrl + F to search a word , the program does not respond anymore , this issue is always happening and very annoying.
Does anyone has an idea regarding this problem.
Thanks a lot !
Is it happening on all documents, on long ones?
do you have a lot of applications opened at the time?
Hi Eric, i've tried to close all the apps used (memory and CPU ressources ... are not fully used ) , and the issue is still there , the pdf doc is not very long (22 pages ) , and this is not the only one because i tried with some other PDF docs , same issue.
Please try changing the following preferences setting and see if that makes a difference:
Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected Mode at Startup", "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat.
Note: these changes are only for testing purpose. Once tested, please change it back to the previous setting.
If it still doesn't work, then uninstall the application once using cleaner tool: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and then reinstall.
Hi Akanchha , thanks for your tips , i will try them and keep you posted.
Hi Akanchha , still the same issue when editing the security preferences , i will unistall the application and re-install it later , i will keep you informed of the result.
Hope you are doing well.
What's the status on this? Have you managed to resolve after unistalling and reinstalling the app?
Let us know if there's any further assistance is required.
I'm doing great , thanks , hope it's the same for you.
I uninstalled and re-installed the Adobe Acrobat Reader , still the same issue.
An additional detail : this issue occuring when opening a document for the first time , and then i hit Cntr + F and enter some characters , the Acrobat Reader hangs for a while (approximately from 10 -> 20 seconds of hang)
I'll review and get back to you.
Thanks for being so patient.
We did check the video shared above, and could see the its taking time to load.
If this issue still exist, then please try the following steps:
1- Install the most recent patch released for Acrobat from here: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html
