Adobe Acrobat DC loops to login and activate

I have a license purchased in 2015 for Adobe Acrobat DC and has to purchase a new computer because of Win10 expiration.  I've tried to install the software and have attempted activation over and over, but each time I do, it closes the program and when relaunching, brings me back to the activation screen.  How do I fix this?  I spent a good chunk of money on this originally and don't want to purchase the cloud version.  It's not like I use it much anymore, but it is nice be to be able to create then lock the document as needed.

Hello Rog0325!

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

As correctly highlighted by our community product expert, Acrobat 2015 is now an officially end-of-support product, and the support ended on July 7, 2020. See this article for more information: https://adobe.ly/42Lt3Ni

As a workaround, you may try the following steps, but they may or may not work.

Compatibility Mode: Since Adobe Acrobat DC 2015 is not officially supported on Windows 11, try running the program in compatibility mode. Right-click on the Acrobat shortcut, select Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and choose an earlier version of Windows (e.g., Windows 7 or 8).

You may try the steps from this article: Troubleshoot activation | Acrobat subscription

We recommend that you update to the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Acrobat Reader. By updating installations to the latest versions, you benefit from the latest functional enhancements and improved security measures.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

@Rog0325 The continuous loop you're in suggests a fundamental incompatibility or a problem with the activation process on Windows 11 for this older version. Adobe Acrobat DC 2015 is not officially supported on Windows 11, which is very likely the reason you're experiencing these persistent activation problems. While it might work in compatibility mode with an earlier operating system setting, this is not guaranteed, and Adobe no longer provides support or updates for this version, meaning it may have unforeseen issues with newer operating systems.
