I have a user that is having an issue with PDF files opening vary slow and lag when panning or zooming. Sometimes even on a single page engineering Drawing takes 1-2 minutes to completely load. The computer they are using is more then capable of running Acrobat. Xeon 16 core 3.3Ghz, 64 Gb RAM and RTX 3060 GPU. I have tried uninstalling/re-installing acrobat, resetting settings in the preferences menu.
Nothing is helping.
The PDF's will open on other computers without issues.

Hi Jeffh
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, Adobe Acrobat DC Pro slow to open PDFs
Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer first and then try to open it and check.
What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.07.20099 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Please try to reset the Acrobat Preferences as described here - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
Regards
Amal

Resting the Acrobat Preferences did the trick.
Thanks.
