Hi,

I recently got support inquiry for helping closing this info message as below.

She got info message when she open any PDF file with special tags for text-to-speech software as in attachment below.
The problem is that this person is visually impaired and need to use text-to-speech software to be able to work on her laptop. And for her it's difficult to close this message every time it opens.

I have tried already:

1. Closing this info message wich checking on (x) "don't show it again" - but this is still showing up every time she open pdf file with tags. I also tried to set open Adobe Acrobat as system administrator.

2. I checked and tested all options and possibilities in tab Edit->Settings->Accessibility but this message is still showing up.

3. I made repair of Adobe Acrobat DC

4. I reinstalled Adobe Acrobat DC

But nothing helped.

She is using:

Adobe Acrobat DC

version 2022.001.20117 64-Bit

Windows 10 with newest updates installed

Dolphin Super Nova 2022 - Text to Speach Software

Below I send screenshot of this message which is showing up during opening pdf file and english translation to it:

Untagged document is being read with assistive technology

Your machine may be running assistive technology, such as a speech output program. This 33-page untagged document must be prepared to be read with assistive technology. If you are not using assistive technology, check the box next to Do not show this dialog again at the bottom of the page.

Options for reading direction
Reading direction : Derive reading direction from document (recommended)

Options for reading mode
Read only currently visible pages
Read entire document

Do not show this dialogue again . Take over settings from the reading preferences.

Diesen Dialog nicht mehr anzeigen - means do not show this message any more.

Have anyone ideas what how to solve it? This will be very appreciated

Thank you for answers.
I checked one more time all settings and all is set  like i saw from Amal hints:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/read-untagged-document-dialog-box-now-shows-up-for-every-pdf-opened/m-p/1698222#M2059
https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/pop-up-message-when-opening-pdf-attached-screenshot/m-p/11933682#M78195

But this doesn't solve the problem.

I also checked for touch keyboard - there is no touch keyboard opened I checked also from task manager and I made sure that there is no touch keyboard process opened.

This time when I opened pdf files this info message for accessibility showed up every third or every fourth time i opened another pdf files.
It's better but this problem is still persisting.
Is there any other solution available for it ?

Thanks in advance!

Amal.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that.

Please collect the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html , Procmon logs https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via the document cloud link as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html

Also, a small video recording of the issue and the tagged PDF file in question will be very helpful to understand and check the issue on our end.

Regards

Amal

Usually, this is because the touch keyboard options are enabled. This may be due to a modified keyboard attached to her computer or due to her settings. I would start by changing that setting. Anytime touch keyboard is running, the warnings will always appear.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

Please update the application to the recent version 22.1.20142 from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also please go through the correct answers marked in the similar discussions listed below and see if that works for you.
