Hi,
I use MS Edge as a browser and have installed the Adobe Acrobat extension. I was expecting it to look like the screenshots in the Edge store. However, Edge still opens PDFs in their own viewer and all I get is a button to open in Acrobat. I have checked and Acrobat is the default application for PDF files.
How can I force Edge to use the Acrobat Extension instead as it should?

Happy news!
Adobe updated the extension to v15.1.3.6. In the extension options there are now two new options, which have resolved my issue!

HI DSNeed!
Is this all pdf's on your computer, or when you download and open a file in the edge browser?

This is only for online PDFs. All my local PDFs open fine in Acrobat DC.

You may have to restart edge browser.

That bypasses the Acrobat extension entirely and does not accomplish what I want and what the extension is supposed to do. Adobe Acrobat for Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Edge Addons

I tried the extension on another Windows 10 PC and it worked as per the screenshots.
There is something else missing.

Could you provide a screenshot of the address you are opening that from? I have not been able to replicate any features outside of document cloud, or document cloud being embedded in the site.

I'm using a simple test PDF at https://orimi.com/pdf-test.pdf.
On laptop one, the Acrobat extension kicks in and opens it correctly.
On the other, it doesn't.

Much Appreciated! I have been, getting what you are showing in the lower screen shot, but it's every machine I've been on for windows 10 and 11. The only way I get the toolbar to show up is if I'm document cloud. On the machine it's working on, could you post what vesion of Edge is in use?

Ok Same here. I've scoured through the edge settings and haven't been able to allow it to redirect to that extension site that the plug in is creating. By chance do you have some different setting in the working laptop that is allowing that pop up to happen? Thanks for helping look into this. You seem to have the key on that laptop that is working!

As far as I can tell they have identical settings.

Hi Ddn,
Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the delay in response.
We have checked the complete conversation above the screenshot that you have shared.
Could you please confirm if it is a work machine on which the extension works?
The link appears to be different on that screenshot. It would be helpful if you can share a small video of how you exactly opened the PDF on that machine.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

The laptop that is working is my personal laptop. The one that isn't working is my work laptop. I am the IT in the office and there is nothing that should be blocking the extension, either on the laptop or on the network.

Thanks again for the help and patience through this. To help extract some more info. On the computer where it is working, could you explain the process of opening a pdf in your browser?
Do you just click the PDF link and it opens correct thought that extension web address automatically? Or are there other steps to open it correctly?

On the working laptop, I just click on the PDF's link and the extension takes over automatically and opens the PDF in the extension, instead of the Edge PDF viewer.

Thanks for that ddn2003! Much Appreciated!
@Meenakshi Negi : Does that help you out or do you still need a visual of the process?
