I'm no longer able to open Adobe Acrobat files without getting a popup that asks me to start a free trial or buy. I thought Adobe Acrobat was free. I have purchased the Acrobat export service

Uninstall it, then run this tool: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Then install Reader from this link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Hope this helps !

I had this issue. I realised it would let me use the free version under my work account. I wasn't using it for work purposes anyway so logged in under my own Adobe account and it worked.

Acrobat Reader is for free. Acrobat DC and Acrobat DC Pro is a subscription based product. The export feature is a paid option to Acrobat reader. In order to be able to use that option, you need to be signed in.

Hi! I understand Acrobat Reader is free - but I have the same problem as the original poster. Whenever I open Acrobat I get a pop-up telling me "Start your free trial or go ahead and buy now." and I have no option to close it/ignore and just use the free Acrobat Reader. (When I close the pop-up it fully closes Acrobat). Do you know how to make that go away? Thank you!

Are you referring to Acrobat PRO or Acrobat READER?
