Adobe Acrobat freezes for a lot of users

Dear Community,
since i think 2 month i have problem with the Adobe Acrobat. First i thought it was just me locally, but then also a lot of users on the Terminal Server told me that Adobe Acrobat is freezing for a few seconds.

Since then i tried all kind of settings, reading threads over threads just to find out that also a lot of other users and admins ar facing.

I have made a GPO just for Adobe Settings, at the moment i have tried following settings:

  • Use Filename as Doc Title always
    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\AVGeneral\bAlwaysUseFileNameAsDocTitle = 1
  • Maximal Entries for recently opened Documents at Homescreen
    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\AVGeneral\iMaxMRUCntToBeStored = 0
  • Disable New Adobe UI
    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\AVGeneral\bEnableAV2 = 0
  • Set Key, so its not the First Launch of Adobe Acrobat
    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\AVGeneral\bisFirstLaunch = 0
  • Disable JavaScript
    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\JSPrefs\bEnableJS = 0

What i have not set for all users yet, is the option to disable protected mode at startup. For me this option sounds really unsafe to enroll for all useres.
Could you give me some information what this settings mean, and if it is safe to set?

Or do you have any other solutions yet?

Current Version installed is 24.004.20272
32bit on Windows Server 2019
Also installed Extended Asian Language font pack for Adobe Acrobat Reader in Version: 23.008.20421
Didn't find any Version 24 for this, think it was never released, am i right?

Really want to find a solution here in the next few weeks, otherwise i will use other PDF programs cause it really don't feel great if you get messages from users everyday how unstable they can work with your system.

Hi @dern54497998,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

We made certain stability improvements with the subsequent releases. Would you mind updating the app to the latest version (2024.005.20414) and let us know if the issue is fixed for your users?

Also, around the language pack, I am checking on this with the devs if the last added pack is compatible with the current builds, and will get back to you on this with an update at the earliest.
